S&S Hard Case $450 per case		This is the original hard-sided travel case from S&S Machine, the manufacturer of the couplers on your travel bike. The case is not oversized as its dimensions are 26" x 26" x 10". To pack your S&S tandem you will need two cases. While other, less expensive cases are available, at Tandem Cycle Works we feel strongly that this is the very BEST option for your coupled bike. After 10 years of travel with these cases we can tell you truthfully that we have never been charged by any airline when traveling with our tandem in these cases. We can also testify that our tandem has never been damaged when in the S&S cases. To further protect your tandem we alow recommend the Security Net shown below. Together the case and the security net give your "baby" the best possible safety for travel.
Security Net $40 each		New from S&S Machine, the Security Net allows airline personnel to open your tandem hard case without disturbing the contents. At Tandem Cycle Works we think the security nets are a great idea. In this post-911 era it is certain that the airlines will open your tandem cases upon baggage check-in and often you are not present for this. It is quite easy to dislodge items when the cases are opened. The security net prevents this as it allows for the airline staff to see the bike easily. Even if the airline employee lifts your bike out of the case the contents are kept together as a single unit due to the security net! You're going on vacation. Isn't it worth it to make sure your entire bike arrives safe and sound?

Shimano Flight Deck Computer $150		This is not just ANY bike computer! The big advantage of the Flight Deck is the gear indicator feature. This helps to keep "tandem harmony" on your bike as the captain no longer needs to ask the stoker, "What gear are we in"? No other bike computer has this feature, and in addition, the Flight Deck provides speed, time, virtual cadence, max speed, average speed, lap counter, PLUS it's wireless.
Avid Mechanical Rear Disk Brake $125		If you're looking for more stopping power than rim brakes can provide, but hate the thought of adding a heavy Arai Drum brake, the Avid Mechanical disk is for you. Since it's a mechanical brake you'll have none of the complications that you may have heard about with disks that are hydraulic. This brake does the job with minimal maintenance! Having ridden most of Colorado's mountain passes with the Avid rear disk, we can attest to its value and added braking ability.
Sherpa Rack $105		The Sherpa Rack from Old Man Mountain is a lightweight rack specifically designed for rear disk brakes. Equipped with its own extra long skewer, as far as we know there is no other rack on the market that can accommodate rear disk brakes, so if you're looking for a trunk rack for your new disk-brake tandem, this is it.
