When Lynn and I founded Tandem Cycle Works eleven years ago, we had one goal in mind — to create a retail environment where tandems were the focus, rather than an afterthought. As the sport has grown, so has our business. We are now the leading tandem retailer in the United States. Tandem Cycle Works sells more tandem bicycles than the second and third place dealers combined.

How do we do we do it? With personalized, knowledgeable service and support. A logical outcome of specialization is expertise. And, since we focus on tandems exclusively, we have a level of knowledge that takes the guesswork out of a tandem bike purchase.

We don’t just sell tandems, either. We are an active member of the tandem community. We typically log more than 5000 miles a year together. We have lead tours and participated in tandem rallies throughout the United States. And even traveled abroad with a tandem — to New Zealand, Canada and Europe. We have ridden several stages of the Tour De France on our tandem and in 2007 are heading to Italy with thirteen other tandem teams to tour Tuscany and Umbria.
